Mind Set Art Center is pleased to launch Rocks Transformed into Clouds, the latest project of Lin Wei-Hsiang. In Lin’s newest showing since his 2023 solo show Journey Through the Mind, the artist arranges 20 paintings, each measured at 50 by 100 centimeters, in a rectangular formation. This allows him to interpret the connection between himself and nature, his usual subject, in a more dynamic fashion. He likens the process to the fusing of hard rocks and soft clouds, “……I try to further explore my inner self. The process of creating and thinking feels like ‘melting’ parts of ‘my old self’. Much like the rocks in my paintings that, as the boundary between space and time blurs, gradually transform into floating clouds. It is as if everything will eventually melt into nature as a whole.” The exhibition is scheduled to run from 16 November through 25 December 2024, with an opening reception scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on opening day.
